May sunlight guide your path

For millennia, the god of the sun has lived in harmony with his people.
But as of recent, the monotony has begun to bore him.
By a stroke of fate, or perhaps carefully timed divination, he has spotted a group of people across many times, whose lives were about to change for the worse.
In exchange for a fraction of himself, he has reached beyond the stars, to summon new beings to his realm.
For what reason he has chosen to bring them yet remains to be seen.

    Until applications close.

    Players & Contributors

    The moon god

The Moon God. He presides over darkness, the sky, the tides, sleep, and aquatic and feathered creatures. The Moon God has been dead for 500 years.

    The Moonblessed

Those who are blessed by the God of the Moon tend to be those who are related to the sky, the sea, or the void. Light-footed by nature and skyward-driven by heart.

    The Birdfolk

Creatures born of air and related closely to the common bush birds, these small creatures have a lot to say and a lot of places to go.
Their ability to launch themselves horizontally makes them excellent for long-distance flying, and their ability to mimic sounds they hear nearby allows them to easily identify threats.
However, the birdfolk are brittle-boned and delicate by nature. As such, they often perch themselves atop other people to conserve energy, or to stay out of reach of danger.

    The Valkyries

These folk are more closely related to vultures, as well as other scavengers and birds of prey.
Unlike their fragile kin, the birdfolk, the valkyries have been blessed with heftier builds and a stronger fighting spirit. These warriors carry the blood of the Moon God themself, and as such are primarily nocturnal, with a vulnerability to flames.
Due to their affinity for combat, these creatures require a much heartier diet than most.

    The Pixies

Having traded their winged nature for a connection to fortune magic, pixies consistently glitter and glow from residual 'lucklustre'.
These diminuitive critters have stayed light in their forms, however, their relation to their feathered relatives clear in their eased landings from large heights.

    The Merfolk

The merfolk, unlike many of the Moonblessed, find oceans or rivers to be more preferable habitats to the skies or ground.
As the moon's light pushes and pulls the tide, the Mer oft find themself swimming against strong and gentle currents alike. Iridescent find allow them to glide through water with ease, their scaled forms making them very hydrodynamic.
Their gills give them the ability to breathe beneath the waves, though thankfully land does not offer them much difficulty.

    The Strangers

Often referred to as 'humans', these beings are the 'jack of all trades' of species. With relatively hardy forms and varied diets, their skills vary from combat, to farming, to even alchemy and the arts.
Persistence predators by nature, these creatures vary from specimen to specimen ; strangers can be anything from diurnal to nocturnal, with wildly differing builds and ideals.

    The Voidcreatures

Once-mortals who were ressurected under moonlight, the voidcreatures find themselves able to utilise the void to flicker across the world.
Due to their connection with the void, these enigmas cannot die via falling out of the earth, or by the void of the place beyond our world. Instead, the void becomes the sky, and they quickly find themselves descending from the heavens.

    The Stargazers

Once-humans captivated by the stars, they stared up at the skies until the cosmos became imprinted into their eyes. As such, these beings have a connection to the void.
They feel at home in the dark, whereas the light of the sun often causes them to become weakened and exhasted.
Stargazers can phase between the layers of the Earth, moving throughout like a spectre -- and their physical being can reflect that, by will.

    The sun god

The Sun God, Fen. He presides over light, warmth, productivity, war, and feline and canid creatures. He is also the God of Fertility. The origin of the Sun God is mostly a mystery, though some theorise that he was a labor of love from the cosmos themselves. His heart sustains the life on this planet, stolen by the God of Earth to keep alive what they had created.

It was he who brought them here.
By returning a part of his godhood to the cosmos, he stole away souls of those from other universes, and rebirthed them onto his own.

    The Sunkissed

In sunlight, these creatures find a home. Canids, felines, and those of passion and productivity have been seen or made by the Sun himself, and tucked under his care.

    The Ninetails

A spirit whose origin is often in question; an amalgamation of wizards who knew not their own power, or a single fragment of a larger being?
Regardless of their beginnings, the ninetails are creatures moulded by fire. Flames offer nothing but a comforting caress, fueling each of their nine lives. What scares them more than losing trinkets they’ve stored in their mouth, or the minimal damage received when falling from great heights, is their natural opposition; water. One will often see a ninetails flounder in water, crying like a babe in a furnace, only to launch themself with powerful legs as far onto land as possible.

    The Bat-Eared Foxes

The bat-eared foxes primarily inhabit the savanna, with lightweight forms and giant ears for easy heat dissipation. They are primarily nocturnal due to the cooler temperatures at night, and as such have magnificent vision during night-time hours.
As lightweight, carnivorous predators who hail from a place where food is in high demand, these ferocious little fox-kin are able to pounce upon their prey. However, these little beauties are often considered to be glass canons, with their frail and small forms, and cannot take quite as much of a punch as they can pack.

    The Kirin

Swift on their feet and gentle with their claws, these feline-fox hybrids are a favoured of the Sun God. Their flexible bodies and skills in acrobatics makes them incredible hunters and trackers, soft paw pads removing the potential pain from any fall. Their eyes are built for dark and light alike.
However, these little folk are a little more delicate than the average being, and cannot stand being in water. Their swift forms makes them ravenous eaters, and their carnivorous diet means that they must gather most of said food themselves.

    The Kitsune

These sun-born spirits, similar to their other foxy kin, find themselves swift and quiet on their feet. Their soft paws make them perfect for stealth, and their strong ties to their heritage makes them a perfect friend of wild foxes.
They can pounce upon their prey with a jump that launches them upwards, and they can often be seen running with a trail of fox-fire following them.

    The Technices

The technice are humans who have honed their craft of mechanics and weaponsmithing to the point that it has become second nature for them. Most of them spend their time underground, digging up minerals to tinker and invent with.
Their skin is sensitive to touch, with many of them becoming overstimulated or even pained by something as simple as a splash of water, or the brush of a hand.
They are paranoid by nature, having spent much of their lives in caves, surrounded by hostile creatures. It is due to both their paranoia and their honed craft that they are swift and flighty, often flickering from project to project.

    The Warforged

Once forged from plundered steel and blood-stained wood, the warforged were born to be weapons. Artificial soldiers that swarmed fields of war, built for the simple act of cutting down whatever enemy stood in their way.
A warforged is alien to water, as their metal parts rust easily in contact. Bionic eyes allow them perfect night vision, perfect for spotting enemies in the dark. And without lungs to breathe or blood to flow, poison is a negligible offence.

    The Sunborn

None love and worship the Sun God more than his own children; the sunborn. Woven from his very own sunlight, crafted by warm hands, the sunborn crave the warmth of the sun in every waking moment. The sun is beautiful, fire is inviting, but lava may be a step too far.
A sunborn wandering the desert is not one to be concerned for, as the sunlight on their skin fuels the flames in their heart that burst in the heat of battle. A sunborn trudging through the snow, on the other hand, is an unnatural occurrence. Biting cold eats away at their fire, sapping their energy until only a slumbering coal is left.

    the earth god

The God of Earth, Mizan. They preside over balance, agriculture, wanderlust, and amphibian and reptilian creatures.Although Mizan uses the title of 'Earth God', in reality they are the god of the balance between life and death.Although Mizan can create life, without something else to sustain it, said life quickly perishes.
As such, the God of Earth chose to steal the heart from the God of the Sun, to nurture the life they had created on their new planet.

    The Lifetouched

    The Weavers

Quiet folk who lurk in deep caverns and overhangs. Suited for the darkness and all its terrors, they are able to scale difficult terrain and scuttle along cavern walls. These spindly creatures are naturally adapted to navigate others' webs and other obstacles.
Despire being born in shadows, they are no strangers to the light, and are artisans in weaving their silks.

    The Ratkin

Detrivores evolved to survive no matter the odds.
With a penchant for waste, they scavenge off of the living and the dead alike, remaining fierce targets despite their small size. These nocturnal folk have far better vision indoors or underground than they do in the open world, and are adapted to hiding in others' habitats.
Regardless, any good rat knows when to flee.

    The Snakekin

Venomous creatures with an intimidating hiss, sharing a common ancestor with the snakes of the modern world. They prefer hotter climates overall, but can be found anywhere.
Underestimating them is an unwise choice, as their lunges can close large distances and their fangs can be lethal. While some will give you the courtesy of a hiss before they snap, others will not offer such a luxury.

    The Wyverians

The dying bloodline of wyverians hail from the long-gone legacy of wyverns. These proud beings are carnivorous by nature, and bear impressive claws that rend the flesh of their prey.
Nocturnal by nature, wyverians are able to see extraordinarily well in the dark, and their hotblooded constitution allows them a unique immunity to poisons.
However, their wyvern ancestors were never the strong-bodied type, and wyverians struggle under the weight of heavy armour or water-logged wings. Regardless, their leathery wings allow them to ascend high above the clouds with each flap.

    The Dryads

Quiet creatures that sway with the trees. Believed to share a kinship with all foliage, Dryads prefer to hide in groves and grottos with plant life.
Fuelled by the sun, you’ll rarely find one after dark unless you follow their glow.
Much like the old legends of the Earth God, these ancient beings can launch themselves from tree to tree, the plants acting as both their anchor and safety net.

    The Wildlings

People who move with the swiftness of wind across the earth, descended from the Earth God's wandering nature. Explorers and observers, often shy and reclusive. Many have animalistic qualities or features to them.

    The Earth Spirits

Finding an earth spirit is trickier than you’d imagine. Camouflaged among rubble with a sturdiness unmatched by many creatures, these beings prefer a solitary life among nature as opposed to surrounding themselves with others. Heavy-built with a will as strong as their forms, they can often be found as protectors of flora and fauna alike.
They stay isolated but strong, and fear the water that could trap them under it’s depths.

    The Scorched

When the Moon God fell on that fateful day, the Sun lost his mind in grief of his lover.
The rays of light and fire slit into the earth, cutting down until it reached Hell itself.
The creatures caught in the crossfire felt their skin blister and screech with burns…
Until they were made anew in grief’s image.

    The Hellspawn

Creatures who felt Hell’s fire from below and the sun’s wrath from above, burned away until they were born again in flame’s embrace. They suffer not from flame nor magma, embers flickering at their fingertips and flaring on their forms when high emotion strikes.
Their resistance to anything hot makes them excellent navigators of hellish terrain.

    The Sanguine

Once-moontouched humans who were cursed by the sun, bathed in stark light until it became unbearable. The only thing that shields them from eternal pain under the sun’s glare is the flowing crimson of the mortals they once resided beside.
Their teeth are sharp and senses sharper, a twisted hunger to be seen by the sun once more driving them to hunt that which bleeds.
